Calls From the Dead

September 2008. In San Fernando Valley, California, a commuter train collides with a freit train at a combined speed of 83 MPH, killing 25 and injuring 135. Among the dead was a man named Charles E. Peck. Peck’s fiancé was driving to pick him up when she heard about the crash on the radio. Peck’s body was pulled from the train 12 hours after the accident. It was then discovered that for the past 11 hours his phone had repeatedly called his son, brother, stepmother, his sister and his fiancé. 35 called were made, but when these mysterious calls were answered, the loved ones heard only static. It was also discovered that Peck died on impact, and his cell phone was never recovered
